Shine Core are our most advanced sessions and focus on developing core strength and muscular toning of the buttocks, arms and legs. These core muscles provide support and cushioning for your spine and are your body’s powerhouse muscles to aid in injury free movement. Core strength enables your torso muscles to be strong and flexible while they work together to support and stabilize the spine throughout the stresses, shocks and exertion of everyday living. Shine Equipped are the best sessions for beginners after your initial private session as they are individual, tailor-made, equipment based routines which work to improve posture, address muscle imbalance, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation and sculpt long lean muscles creating a toned appearance. These sessions work to rebalance, realign and restore tight, tense or fatigued muscles to allow easier movement and better support of the body. As with every Pilates exercise, mindfulness is emphasized so that each client becomes aware of their body’s signals, alignment and movement as they move empowering them on their health and fitness journey. This balanced workout allows you to “Shine Your Way”, empowering you with the knowledge and awareness of your body’s signals to make a positive difference in your everyday life.
Once you have built a strong foundation with the STOTT Pilates principals, Shine Barre is the ideal next layer on your Pilates journey. Sculpt lean and toned muscles with this energizing and dynamic group class designed to challenge and change your body- no dance experience or tutus required! These sessions efficiently blends Pilates with dance, cardio and strength training specifically challenging arms, legs and core to strengthen and lengthen the body. Add the Bosu Butt Buster challenge and feel the burn! These is one of the most fun and dynamic ways to sculpt a sleek and lean physique! Come solo or round up a group of friends and be ready to have a blast!
These sessions are for Athletic Conditioning once you are confident in your STOTT Pilates basic principals as they focus on core strength, stability and spacial awareness, teaching the back muscles to work in harmony with the abdominal muscles and forming a protective support for the spine that increases the potential range of motion of the spine and improves balance in movement.
Starting in February 2018 these classes are perfect for anyone wishing to add more cardio to their workout in a controlled manner. Powered by energizing, heart-pumping music that makes you need to move, these classes use choreographed movement patterns with the support of a ballet barre to take you through a flow of high powered sequences that will keep you energized and motivated. Fast paced dynamic programming provides an exciting and empowering session guaranteed to make you ‘glow’ and get the heart rate going. If you are looking to trim, tone and strengthen, this is the session for you!
Private one on one sessions are available on request and at least one private session when you begin is highly recommended to ensure we build for you a strong foundation and prevent unsafe workouts. Prenatal, Postnatal and Specialized Rehabilitation Sessions are available on request.
